Alcohol Meter for Measuring the IPA Content in Dampening Water

The IPA hydrometer is used to check the isopropyl alcohol (IPA) content in the dampening water of offset printing presses. The measurement is based on the density of the liquid and allows the alcohol content to be read from the hydrometer scale. Hydrometers specifically designed for the graphic arts industry are calibrated directly in vol.% IPA for this purpose.
